Edited by Gleb Bazov

Today is August 10th, 2014

My name is Pavel Brykov. I am the press secretary of JSC Concern Stirol. I would like to make an emergency statement.

Over the course of the past 3 weeks, Gorlovka and, in particular, the territory of the chemical industry giant, the plant of JSC Concern Stirol, the largest of its kind in Ukraine, has been subjected to constant bombardment. Ukrainian forces shell it continuously; they conduct mortar strikes. They also have been using Grad MLRS and even Uragan MLRS.

Thus, in particular, on August 5, 2014, the Ukrainian army fired five volleys of the most powerful weapon of mass destruction they have in their arsenal – Uragan MLRS – deliberately targeting and hitting the territory of the Stirol plant. In addition, several volleys of Grad MLRS were fired. The shelling of the city and the chemical enterprise is being done everyday at all times of the day.

I officially state:

On a daily basis, the people of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus are being subjected to the deadly risk of ecological catastrophe by the irresponsible actions of the Ukrainian army. The scale of this disaster is impossible to predict.

An emergency situation at the Stirol plant will result in a leak at the Gorlovka State Chemical Factory, where “blood poison”, otherwise known as Mono Chloro Nitrobenzene is still stored.

Taking into account the wind rose, the spread of the river basins and the Azov sea water area, the minimal radius of the area of chemical contamination is no less than 300 square kilometres.

It is beyond my comprehension why this fact has been hidden by all the Ukrainian mass media.

  1. How can we let the whole people of Ukraine know of this?
How can we help spread this fact?
