From the Militia:

The Zhdanovka Cauldron is no more. It seems that, having received a “corridor” from the NAF, the remains of the garrison headed towards Debaltsevo. Uglegorsk is reported to be also occupied by the NAF. The source from Svetlodarsk says that the cannonade from outside of Debaltsevo continued all night long and has not ceased up to the present moment. There is your ceasefire. By the way, today they got mobile connection of MTS [a Ukrainian mobile service operator -ed.]. In the city itself there are neither units of the UAF nor of the NAF. Formally, the city is still considered to be neutral: it is part of another cauldron in Debaltsevo. It looks like the UAF have decided to concentrate the troops in one fist. To what end, tomorrow will tell. Today let us look at Debaltsevo. If they repeat the same trick as in Zhdanovka, it means that under the veil of a truce the UAF are silently retreating, withdrawing the surrounded units from the cauldron. By and large, this is advantageous for both parties. The question of heavy materiel is also interesting. To whom will it be left? As it stands now this is the most painful issue for the UAF. Cannon fodder can still be found, but as for military hardware, the Ukrainians are facing a complete crisis. In twenty-three years of independence, Ukrainian ensigns and generals did more for the victory of the Militia than the Militiamen themselves.

The enemy left a number of settlements in the DPR, but attacks and atrocities still continue.

The Junta forces have been regrouping their troops and fortifying the positions they currently occupy. On September 20, aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force overflew the neighbourhood of Zhdanovka and an unmanned aerial vehicle overflew the western part of Donetsk.

The enemy continued regrouping units and occupying advantageous areas and positions in the direction of Donetsk. They abandoned a number of settlements round Yenakievo: Yuzhnokommunarsk, Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Krynka, Rozovka and Uglegorsk.

There were six cases when Ukrainian fascists violated the ceasefire regime.

At 18:30 the positions of the DPR Army near Sakhanka suffered damage from Grad MLRS fire. The losses came to one dead and seven wounded Militiamen.

At 18:00 soldiers of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade, leaving Nizhnyaya Krynka, blew up a road bridge. They desecrated the obelisk to the Red Guards fallen during the Revolution, which was situated at the junction of Potemkin and Lenin streets.

At 18:45 the checkpoint near the Yenakiyevskaya mine was shelled from firing positions near Bulavinsky. A car belonging to an employee of the mine was burned out.

At 19:15 the firing positions near Maloorlovka carried out a mortar attack on the settlement of Kirovskoe.

From 19:30 to 20:30 the enemy soldiers kept the southern suburb of Peski settlement under sniper fire. One local citizen was wounded.

Leaving Zhdanovka, the Nazis of the 41st Territorial Defence Battalion, Chernigov-2, on orders of the battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel A. V. Drozdov, made an attempt to mine the facilities of the Kommunarskaya Mine. Thanks to timely information received from local residents, the Special Forces of the DPR Army managed to prevent the detonation of the mine.

Around Lugansk the enemy continues the hidden regrouping of forces, and carries out the fortification of positions they currently occupy. There are localised cases of violations of the ceasefire agreement. There are increasing incidents of atrocities by the occupiers against the population of areas controlled by them.

According to local residents, enemy soldiers stationed in the south-western outskirts of Artem robbed a grocery store. In the evening, just before closing time, six Ukrainian soldiers in two armoured vehicles drove up to the store and, having ejected the customers without explanation, began to carry out boxes filled with food. The store security guard and saleswoman, who tried to stop the looters, were beaten. The value of the damage caused, according to estimates by the store owner, came to about three and a half thousand hryvnias.

Around Mariupol the situation has not changed significantly. Junta forces continue organizing fortifications around the positions they currently occupy.

  1. Thanks for your sitrep, and in particular, the military ops map in English and a good size. The OSCE need to take the atrocities VERY seriously, and I am not impressed with them; they need to increase their personnel 10X. Also, they should speak to the UAF commanders they are in contact with, do a report on them every time they see them, inform them of what problems need solving, by whom and by when, and to get that in WRITING.

  2. The good news is, the NAF territory now includes about 65% of the population of the Lugansk Oblast, and over 50% of that of the Donetsk Oblast, according to an article linked on Twitter several days ago (sorry, I do not have the link). Despite the momentary loss of Mariupol and Slavyansk, it seems encouraging that Novorossiya encompasses both Donetsk and Lugansk, a long stretch of the Russian border, and a path to the sea, which I hope they can exploit.

  3. For those who may be interested, the gas deal is not a done deal yet.

This sounds pretty stupid on the part of Ukraine. They need the gas. They got a deal. There is nothing to win by doing what they do.

  5. There’s an urgent bulletin from Eric Zeusse, a journalist for the pro-Novorossiya website http://www.globalresearch.com. The message, found at the link,

    http://www.washingtonsblog.com/

    is as follows:

    Eric Zuesse
The pro-Russian website, https://vk.com/wall-74692511_15456, issued yesterday the following bulletin, which has just now been confirmed as authentic, by the southeastern-Ukrainian democratic leader Oleg Tsarev; so it’s passed on:

Citizens’ Union of Ukraine — WARNING !!! Please Immediately Spread the News !!!
In the town of Starobilsk near Lugansk, at area18, the Ukrainian Army is now holding 70 of our militia as prisoners, torturing them, and digging a pit to hold their corpses. 30 are to be shot by Saturday at the latest. The execution-list has been prepared. It includes Komarnicki, Andrew M., born in 1975, who is Chief of Staff of the reconnaissance Severodonetskoye militia. If you spread this news, these guys’ lives might be able to be saved. Please especially contact the Investigative Committee of the Public Chamber, Russian Federation, and ask them to urge international organizations of which they are a member, to intervene. Please hurry, because we have [as of Wednesday October 1st] only 2 to 3 days in which to bring enough public attention to this that might stop it!!!

I hope posting this is helpful to these men. Some other items as of Oct 2:

As of today, the NAF claim to have 95% of the Donetsk airport under their control. This is good news. The airport is in the buffer zone, and should have been cleared at the start of the ceasefire. It is the focus of most of the recent fighting, and as a result, at least ten civilians have died in the past two days. One was a Swiss Red Cross worker, killed in the shelling of Donetsk ICRC headquarters. I hope this will draw attention to the junta’s atrocities. It should be clear to the world these deaths were caused by Ukrainian fire, a view supported by Amnesty International. The resolution of the airport conflict will be a milestone for the DPR, and a further step toward a meaningful peace.

Also, a case is building against oligarch Igor Kolomoyski, who apparently paid Sergei Litnivov, a private of the UAF Dnieper battalion, to slaughter women and childern in the Lugansk region. More information is also surfacing about UAF commanders who followed criminal orders. Maybe the world will finally realize. The link:

    • For the information of the people on this website, my comment above had been “awaiting moderation” since Wednesday evening! I just now repeated a part of it. What is the explanation? I’ve never had to be moderated before! This was extremely time critical. By now, it may be too late. Why on earth was such an urgent comment moderated? I fear this site has been seized by the NSA.
